Living History Theatre: The Departure 1701

After not quite two years in Pennsylvania, William Penn and his wife Hannah and daughter Letitia are leaving for England in October 1701. Why are they going? What preparations need to be made before their journey? How do their neighbors and members of the household feel about the Penns’ departure?
This program is provided free of charge with admission to Pennsbury Manor, which includes a tour of the Manor House and other historic buildings. Tours are offered at 12:30, 1:30, 2:30, and 3:30 pm.
