Designed with family learning in mind, Homeschool Day offers interactive and hands-on activities for learners of all ages. Advance registration is preferred. Nathan Young Exhibit Opening
nkwiluntamen: I Long for It, experience this sound art installation by Delaware Tribe member Nathan Young. Inspired by the Delaware saying, “Our songs come from the wind”, Young’s work fosters a deeper understanding of the tribe’s heritage and ancestral homeland, Lenapehoking (known now as the Mid-Atlantic US) through sounds of wind, water, and wildlife.
Open Hearth Cooking: The Bake Oven
The cooks will fire the bake oven to demonstrate the weekly baking of bread and more.
Beer Brewing & Garden Highlights
The brewing of beer as well as maintaining a garden were critical to the lives of those living at Pennsbury Manor. Explore and experience the sights, sounds, and smells of the recipes and plants that fed the early residents of Pennsylvania.
Art in the Garden: Plein Air Painting Workshop
Outdoor art for all skill levels. Take a tour of Pennsbury’s gardens and grounds, then settle into your favorite spot and paint. Materials provided. Registration required $35/non-members $30/members.
